This high temperature heat shield sleeve can prevent or delay hose lines from burning by shielding direct flame. The sleeve is constructed of a uniform single layer of braided fiberglass tubing impregnated with flame resistant silicone rubber.The sleeve protects cables, hoses, tubing and wires from heat, flame or abrasion and will allow continuous operating temperatures from -50 up to 260 degrees Celsius, and short term exposure up to 1,000 degrees Celsius.
The silicone coated fiberglass braids keep headers from burning plug wires, battery cables, turbo braided oil and water hoses. They insulate fuel and oil lines and will not burn. Resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels, insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing; and allows “bundling” of wires, hoses, and cables.
